Here are some pictures from the last week:
The first three are from us playing in bed in the morning. We have such a fun time together every morning and she loves waking up in Mommy and Daddy's bed.
Here is Rya in her NEW highchair...
thank you Granny Net!
This picture is from us playing in the yard. She has a funny look on her face, but it's a new one and I really like it.
Rya is moving around a lot. She has taken a few crawls forward the
past few days. She has been going from laying down to sitting up too.
She especially likes to do this around 2am. She'll play anywhere
from 10 minutes to a half hour and then lay back down and fall back
asleep. It's comical to watch on the monitor.
When I was feeding her breakfast this morning, I noticed an even more
defined white spot in the bottom of her mouth. I bet the tooth will
break through before the end of the month. How exciting!
We have semi-converted the Florida room into her playroom. I still
have my desk in there, but we have moved all her toys in there and
have gotten a foam letter mat to put down over the rug and tile.
Terra's mom had it in her garage and we appreciate the hand down. :)
She has been pulling up on us into a kneeling position just to take a
look around. She has also started clapping. It's only happened a
handful of times and for no obvious reason, but it's a milestone we
are proud of.
She makes this funny UGH noise when Cecilia barks or walks into the
room. I've tried getting it on video, but I guess I took too long of
a recording, b/c I can't seem to upload the whole thing without an
error.
She is saying Ma Ma and Da Da more frequently. She mainly says Ma Ma
when she's upset or crying. She says Da Da when she's playing...go
figure. ;) I think she's beginning to associate these words more and
more with us.
She LOVES books. She'll sit down and grab a book and just look at the
pages and chew on the corners. She has a few touch books and really
likes feeling the textures.
We don't have a well baby check up this month, but she has her 9 month
well baby on February 13th. It seems like we've spent a lot of time
at the doctor's office lately. She had a double ear infection that
lasted about two weeks and then a little cold that lasted about 2
days. During this time she got her highest fever yet of 102 degrees.
It was scary, but we let her sleep in our bed to keep an eye on her
and gave her Tylenol to help control it.
She is eating baby food twice a day (breakfast and dinner) and we are
still nursing. My goal is a year or whenever we introduce whole milk.
We had a fun fun fun Christmas. I have uploaded those pictures, but
they aren't organized quite yet, so I will post those on the website
soon.
